Ordering and shipping info.
I have spent the last couple of years setting up a proper bass workshop after moving to the town of Oliver in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia — and I’m now (mostly) up and running. During my years-long hiatus, I haven’t accepted any orders, but I am finally proceeding on my own with a figured maple bass (and an experimental poplar one).
In the coming months (year?), I expect I will be back on the track of making basses to order.
If you’re interested in a bass or have any questions, find me on the other end of badger.rad@protonmail.com or call/text 250-498-7517. I’m on Pacific time. I’m usually up late.
The cost? Similar to other top makers. Contact me.
Shipping worldwide is no big deal. I build a strong, 100lb wooden crate and immobilize the bass within it. A truck delivers it 450 kms to YVR Vancouver, where it is shipped FedEx Air Cargo (or similar) to any airport you choose. Cost is generally $1000 to $1500 within North America. Please note that non-Canadian client pick-up of a bass is problematic — because it forces me to charge significant local taxes (of which only half are refundable); a bass must be officially exported from Canada to legitimately avoid Canadian taxes.
